Mission statement before going and visiting the wounds

Mission statement before going and visiting the wounds

We need to visit the past to do something about what is interrupting us today. Not to get stuck there, but to work on the issues that are stuck there so that our present lives will become better.

I have put together a meditation/prayer to prepare us for the journey back in time to revisit the trauma that occurred in our lives. It is better to sharpen our focus on the task; otherwise, our minds can be a little bit scattered on the journey and also when we come back from the past. If we are successful in finding old wounds, we start to relive the pain associated with them. It is painful, but remember, it is not happening again; the pain is there because we have not finished processing them, and that is why they are still affecting us as they do. This journey to the past has only one purpose, and that is to finish processing the pain and heal from it all.

When we come back, it is equally important that we are now in the present, and what we found on the journey has nothing to do with today’s life other than it is affecting our functionality in our everyday lives. The sole purpose of the journey is to find the issues that need to be worked on in order to heal, nothing else.

  • It is important to set our minds on the purpose of the journey we are about to take by using a mission statement before we go. This helps us stay grounded and focused on the task. It also aids us in having the courage to take on this trip to the past.
  • It is also important to step out of the past after the session to take our minds out of the traumatized situation that we are working through. At that point, we must step into the present with firmness and strength, into our present. Be strong and focused on working through the findings that the journey brought you.
  • You can use this one or adjust it to your liking. Remember, it is your journey, and the setup that fits you is the only one that matters.
  • Look for “The mission statement for going back to the past, addressing the trauma.”
  • Look for “The mission statement is to return to the present after addressing the trauma.”
